  1. What a powerful video! In just a couple weeks I will be eligible for AARP discounts myself which is a bit scary, but this video helps me to see the good work AARP does (I also had to look at their website after watching this).

    I have given up a good career in acounting to care for my father during his unsucessful battle with cancer, and my mother's continuing difficulities with heart disease. Furthermore, I lost a whole year of graduate school to care for my ailing ex-husband (during this process we once again became each other's BEST friend in life and continue to share a home). I know what it is like to make choices between family and career. I was raised in a generation or maybe it is just our family values that compells us to put family first. And yet, I also know the work world is unforgiving of those that give up a work focus to fulfill those family demands we feel to be more important.

    Thank You For Posting THIS video. I'm sharing it with several of my family members who've also given up a great deal to fulfil what they've felt was their duty.
